We’ve had a lot of questions about more VR content and we’re overjoyed to announce that we brought the massive hit, The Walking Dead pinball, to Pinball FX2 VR! Additionally, Pinball FX2 VR is now available for HTC Vive and PlayStation VR!
The VR version of The Walking Dead Pinball brings the complete experience of the beloved 2014 table into fully immersive virtual reality. Join Lee and Clementine in stunning VR as you experience choice-driven gameplay along with original story dialogue from the award-winning cast, in scenarios that include choosing who to save and who to leave behind in a walker attack, solving problems and keeping up morale within the group, searching for food and supplies, acquiring important tools, navigating through the herd amidst an oncoming walker breach, and of course, keeping Clementine safe. As the action unfolds, walkers bear down on you and you fight your way through all five of the table’s episodes to a thrillingly climactic wizard mode. The undead will be so close you can practically smell them!
Already a smash hit on Oculus Rift, Pinball FX2 VR is the premiere way to experience pinball in virtual reality. Pinball FX2 VR replicates the atmosphere of real-life pinball machines in a virtual play space, while presenting gameplay features and effects that you simply cannot recreate on a physical machine, where animated toys spring to life on stunningly active table environments with spectacular depth. Additionally, the game’s scoreboards will track your Pro Score, Team Score, table stats and more to let you compete against players from all over the world! Pinball FX2 VR includes Mars, Secrets of the Deep, and Epic Quest for just $14.99. The Pinball FX2 VR: Season One expansion is also available for $24.99 and adds CastleStorm, Wild West Rampage, Paranormal, BioLab, and Earth Defense to the base game. Even more content is on the way soon!
Pinball FX2 VR is now available on PlayStation VR in North America and HTC Vive for $14.99, and will be available for PlayStation VR in Europe on November 30. The Walking Dead pinball table will be available for Pinball FX2 VR on Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR for $6.99 on the same day.
See you on the leaderboards!
Hi Zen
You made my day!
PSVR Support…woohoo!
I will buy the VR season1 @ day one \o/
YAY! We hope you enjoy it! 😀
Shame there won’t be cross buy on the PSN with existing tables, but Epic Quest is one of few I’d be interested in repurchasing. Sounds like I’ll be grabbing at least the starter pack. ^^d
Hi,
I already own almost all the tables on my Android device… Would it be possible to unlock them on PC too if purchase the VR version to play with my Vive?
Sorry but the VR versions of the game are completely separate purchases.
Are there any plans to bring in features to the base game that were present in the 3DS version? Namely the acknowledgement that more than one person might (and in this case, likely will) be playing the game and thus only keeping one score per table under the one username is highly annoying. Can’t have pinball without those three letter initials, and I both want to see how I’ve travelled in the past (rather than always comparing to that one time I fluked it, or to that time someone kicked my arse) as well as let others stamp their mark on my game.
I really hope the European release won’t be too long after the US release, a week at max.
November 30th! 🙂
Only a single day later?
I’ll allow it, can’t wait! 😀
It doesn’t say when it’s being release for the Oculus Rift. I hope ASAP.
Same day! 🙂
December the 1st here and no Walking Dead VR pinball on the (Swedish) PS Store… 🙁
I can’t find it listed on disc release on the Online retailers either so whats up with this ? Delayed or don’t you count Sweden to Europe now ?
We noticed an error with the release but it will come soon! 🙂
OK thanks 🙂
Soon™…
😉
Any update on this, still says Purchase not available on walking dead for PSVR, UK based here.
Same her for Sweden, very frustrating
Hoping to have it out on Friday 🙂
Awesome thanks for quick response BarbieBabomb!
No, it’s still not out in Sweden. What’s going on? I bought the game pretty much exclusively for that table and I can’t play it wtf.
Checking!
Amazing work guys!!! Bought up all the PSVR stuff you released. And I’ll be waiting for the others to come. This is definitely a shut up and take my paycheck moment…;-)
Absolutely love the VR tables and will be buying every table you guys bring to PSVR. Only problem is it’s hard to go back to the non vr version.
It would be great if you could implement a better local high score system. It’s more fun to compete against a top ten rather than just myself. As Q posted above “Can’t have pinball without those three letter initials”
Hi!
I’m a huge fan of Zen Pinball so I was thrilled to see a VR version. Downloaded the starter pack and The Walking Dead table. (Mars is particularly awesome in VR!) I have one slight issue that maybe you guys can patch. The angle of the tables. While it is very realistic, the problem is having to look almost straight down with the headgear on for any length of time is straining on the neck. I managed to fix it a little by re-centering the image while looking straight up but it’s still not enough. My chin is still buried against my chest in order to see the flippers. As you know a good player on Zen/FX can play a single ball for an hour or more at a time which makes staring down with the headgear kind of a chore.
Obviously the best option would be to have a choice of angles like you do in the standard game(without the table scrolling of course) but barring that setting the table a little more “in front” of you (kind of like you are leaning back to play) would really make these tables perfect. Right now it feels like you are leaning up against the table and having to look straight down. Other than that I have no complaints but this is kind of a whopper as I am an old school pinball guy and my age makes it a little difficult to stay in that head down position for any length of time.
Fix it and I’ll be buying the add on pack and any new tables (STAR WARS please!!) that come along..
Thanks for your time..
Thanks for the suggestions!
I second this! Great game, but after an hour or two, you get a pretty soar neck …
Hi!
I bought the game and the Season Pack for my PS VR, but I can’t seem to be able to play/download/enable The Walking Dead Pinball. Am I missing something? Located in Sweden, if that’s of any relevance.
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Fredrik
Will check on that for you!
Thank you very much for your quick reply and overall commitment!
By the way, i checked some different EU PSN-stores; UK, Germany, Norway and Finland, and they all have The Walking Dead Pinball. But not the Swedish PSN-store. That’s rather strange, in my opinion.
I wrote about this 2 weeks back and they said they would fix it. I got the same answer as you did and later on a different place they said it would be fixed last update (Thursday) nothing has happened.
KiwE – Hopefully they do act on the information provided by both you and me. I do think that it’s very, very strange that the Norweigan and Finnish PSN-store both have TWD Pinball, but not the Swedish one …
We are aware of the issue and investigating. Thanks!
We were able to find the issue and the table will be released on the 21st. Apologies for the delay!
Thank you. You have exellent costumer service.
Can you say something about upcoming VR tables? I’m a bit afraid that there will be no new before Christmas and just a big DLC pack with inhouse tables until next summer.
Nothing planned before Christmas but we will post as soon as we have more incoming.
I can see that the table was not released with the latest PSN Store update, but maybe it’ll be uploaded later today somehow?
There we go! It’s now available on the Swedish PSN-Store! 🙂
So sorry for the delay! Hope you are enjoying it! 🙂
Thank you very much for your quick reply and overall commitment.
I love playing the PSVR version of pinball, its as good as the real thing,so any news on when PSVR season 2 will be released ? Also and any Idea on the content of said pack ? I would love to purchase the family guy/ American Dad tables as well as the Alien ones, do you know if they are going to be made available in VR ? in fact, most of the back catalogue would be amazing in VR.
I don’t have VR news to share yet but as soon as we do, I’ll post it here on the blog 🙂 Glad to hear you are enjoying the game so far!
