The Pinball FX2 VR Season One Pack adds five fan favorite tables to Pinball FX2 VR: CastleStorm, Wild West Rampage, BioLab, Paranormal and Earth Defense. Defeat your enemy’s soldiers and raze their castles with Sir Gareth on the CastleStorm table, defeat a crooked sheriff in a western showdown in Wild West Rampage, use your pinball skills to create a new alien species in BioLab, investigate a series of supernatural event in Paranormal, and save the planet from invading extraterrestrial forces in Earth Defense. Each table has been curated by the pinball wizards at Zen Studios and recreated with the spectacular effects that you can only experience in virtual reality!

This is awesome, I love the choices, the Wild West one looks absolutely fantastic, I’m a little put off by the initial appearance of BioLab, it has kind of a cheap feel about the screenshot, I’m intrigued by Paranormal, it looks like it could either be really random and cheap or really intricate and defined, Earth Defense seems like it could be pretty amusing, there’s almost an arcade feel about it, I’ll admit I was a little disappointed when I saw Castle Storm as one of them, the game is fun and all but not so much that I’d want a Pinball machine made from it, at least not as the first video game based machine in VR.
Regardless, I’m sure they’re all going to be a lot of fun to play, I’m very much looking forward to purchasing this pack, thank you for all of your hard work, and your dedication to the VR crowd. I’m looking forward to (hopefully) many more! 🙂
Curious to know how you choose the new tables instead of the old ones, they all seem to be in the same place. It was kinda cool being able to just go from one machine to the next in the one room like that.
Also I hope you guys are planning to add some local multiplayer options, even the 3DS has pass-around multiplayer. And you could enter your initials for the high scores table. And have more than one high score per table! If my friend comes over and kicks my arse, I want it to be attributed to them. Not me. I’m personally uninterested in the global leaderboards, I don’t know who any of those people are, and would happily have that whole thing scrapped for a set of local high score tables.

I completely agree with the price tag of $5 per table except for the Castle Storm table, if it gives you free advertisement, unless it’s a particularly exceptional table, with crazy effects and a bunch of special cool stuff that really sets it apart, it’s a little much to ask for that one, I think $3 is more appropriate, but even still, I’m just really glad to be getting more tables for this game, and I’m happy to support further development of more tables in this manner.
If it was a full pack of, say, “Marvel, Game of Thrones, The Hunger Games, Call of Duty, Progressive Auto-Insurance” I wouldn’t be able to justify paying more than $10 for the pack, being that the entire thing would be about advertising, and it’s hard to really enjoy something with a constant undertone of “BUY ME, WATCH ME, DO THE THING, SPEND THE MONEY, GIVE US RATINGS”.
On the other hand, it is nice to have legitimate tables based on certain popular parts of culture, in this respect, replacing Castle Storm with something like Star Wars would have been nicer, though I completely understand securing rights can be difficult and sometimes unprofitable, so no real complaints there, Castle Storm is still alright, I think I’ll still look forward to your originals the most though. I’m super stoked for the Wild West table!
Worth every penny! Technically also one level up, everything perfectly engineered for VR. Even better than the original 3 Tables.

Add a playroom that has an old-schoool arcade feel and contains all the purchased pinball machines (and not just a selection of three of them) and I won’t wait for the sale to pick this up. The machines don’t all have to be visible simultaneously, if that’s a technical challenge, but the current solution with the three slots in this aseptic room doesn’t make me want to own five more pinball machines, let alone more.
Or, to put it another way: don’t force me to pick three favorites from a sterile menu. Let me marvel at my magnificent arcade with all my machines and pick the one I want to play!

I really appreciate all of these tables being released. I love the level of detail. By playing these tables in VR it is easy to tell where the ramps are going. I enjoy being able to get down at table level and see everything up close. Thanks for allowing me to have all of these tables in my house. It’s a lot better than paying 8,000 for a new table. I’ll be anxiously awaiting the next group of tables. They are well worth the price. Thanks again!

These new tables and the first three tables are alone worth buying the Oculus Rift for. Even if you need to upgrade your computer. I still can’t believe my eyes. These are perfect for VR and it saves you thousands of dollars. Let’s see 8 tables x say $8,000 dollars = $64,000 !! And the animations make these better than your regular table! Wow! Incredible.
One request though, like others have said, put all the tables in the amazing room you created!
Another request is to make it so friends can be in the room watching your game or playing on another table that you could go watch.

I would also like to see all my tables In one or two large rooms.It was a real let-down to scroll thru my tables on a wooden platform.It real takes alway from the beauty of VR.
I understand that might be technically challenging.But if any company can figure it out.My money would be on Zen Studios.
The lay-out with the first tables was prefect.The DLC was a add-on that didn’t change the base game.But,Rather plugged in the addition 5 tables on one wooden platform that you use the LB and RB to scroll thru.
It certainly was the easy way to implement the DLC.But not the most appealing.And VR is all about that.

Absolutely excellent! I thought we would have to wait ages for a new set of tables. I was wrong. Your pinball game has to be one of the best VR experiences ever. I’ve been addicted to pinball since I was a kid. I’ve owned computer based pinball games in the past and although they were OK they were nothing like this though. I’m one happy chappy. keep up the good work guys 🙂

Amazing new tables!! However, I do agree with Marc a few posts above, the table slot system feels clunky and I would much rather see all tables I own appear in the lobby. When I’ve selected my three tables, it still feels like I own… three tables. That’s the only complaint I have, the tables themselves are stellar! 😀
Sorcerer’s Lair and Excalibur Please!
Well Done Zen ! The VR tables are absolutely superb and they are definitely worth buying again for those gamers who already own the same tables for flatscreen gaming. The table feels so fresh and alive in VR and the added effects and animations plus the details on the table top artwork is incredible. I absolutely love the Castlestorm table with its rich dark textures and the Dragon is just so cool. Even the donkey, horses and sheep can keep me amused just watching them on the table. I would go so far as to say this is one of the very best VR games made and worth buying an Oculus Rift for if you love pinball games. The only feature I believe is really needed as soon as possible is the ability to move the camera ourselves to exactly how close or far and even the angle we are looking down on the table at and then save that setting, because the default setting really is not the best to see all the glorious details of the tables and does lead to a sore neck after some time. Future tables ? Rocky and Bullwinkle table is a favourite as I watched the cartoon as a small boy.

I have to say, despite experiencing the initial jaw dropping feeling you get with VR, I was starting to feel I wouldn’t find a game that suited an older gamer like myself.
I downloaded FX2 and now can’t prize my head from my rift. It’s absolutely stunning. Graphically superb, totally addictive and works superbly in a VR environment.
I would have to echo the previous comments, it would be great to see all your owned tables in the lobby, touch support would be great and maybe the option to buy the dlc one table at a time.
I’ve downloaded the walking dead table and it’s absolutely stunning.
